…I’ve realised a few things.
That happiness is a matter of balance, and a way of living is striving to reach that equilibrium;
That there can be an epic story to tell behind scars, and whilst they hurt when they’re made (paired with a couple of stitches) at the end of the day they fade;
That this has Aussie breakfast written all over, is amazing with Ben & Jerrys Peanut Butter Me Up, and makes me smile at the smiles it brings when it comes out of the oven;
That I never left; that the origin and story behind the tiramisu (along with the fact that a) it contains alcohol and b) it’s easy to make) will be the reason why I go back to it again and again;
That cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger define the scent of Christmas, along with cloves, anise and orange from homemade mulled wine and mince pies that appear when they’re least expected;
That life can constantly be summed up by either anguish or the expression that this chap bears on its
furry gingerbread-y reindeer face, but as you go along you learn to channel negative energy into something positive;
That you should never, ever give yourself an excuse to stop doing what your heart tells you to do
and that i’m trying to stay for good.
